How Many Times Do I Have To Ask You????

It's 9.30am on a Sunday morning.  "We are going out in one hour, can you please get ready...." I demand from the bathroom while getting ready myself.  We are only off to the shops and perhaps to pick up a Costa treat but it will be nice to leave the house at some point today.  Our original plans were to go to Whitstable Castle Fayre but that has been cancelled (not sure why but it was cancelled 2 days ago and I have only just checked....) and now it's raining....

"Yeah" Chorus the kids.  Isabella (9 years) is on the ipad and I know for a fact that she has no intention of moving her butt until I have repeated myself about a hundred times but still, at least she answered me first time I guess....  Freya (11 years) is still in bed but on her phone playing a game while, now and again, whatsapping with her friends (I can hear the ping every so often!).  Oliver who is 10 is ready and waiting so doing some drawing.  He is so patient waiting for the girls to get ready (much more patient than his Dad, Dave!!).

10.00am

Me - "Girls, why are you still in bed?  Come on, get up!"

No answer....

Me - "Freya, what are you doing, come on get up lazy bones"

Freya - "I'm hungry"

Me - "Get yourself down these stairs and get some breakfast then"

Freya groans and rolls out of the bed

Me - "Isabella, I hope that you are not still on that ipad....."

No answer

Me - "Isabella!"  Isabella is clearly still on the ipad....

10.30am

Finally the girls have now arrived downstairs for breakfast.... We should be leaving the house right at this time!  I think perhaps I am a little too soft on them sometimes.  Anyway, breakfast is eaten, girls are dressed, teeth are brushed and I think we are ready to leave the house at 11.15am...

Isabella - "I need a poo"

Isabella goes off to the toilet and we all sit down and wait and wait.  She can be heard singing from the toilet upstairs without a care in the world, oh how lovely to be 9 years old ?

Oliver gets engrossed in a book (he does love to read).

Freya is back on her phone.

Dave is at his computer and I'm now on Facebook.

11.30am

Isabella "Come on then let's go"

Freya "I need a wee first"

Here we go, everyone is going to have to visit the loo again before we can leave the house!

11.45am

Finally we leave the house and only an hour and 15 minutes later than planned.  This is really good going and I am actually feeling rather proud ???
