Bingo Winner!

So, I went to a local family friendly bingo evening at the Community Centre last night with Dave and the girls.  Freya who is 11 wasn't all that keen on the idea but Isabella was looking forward to it.  When we arrived, there was only one table available - and I thought our time keeping tonight was something to be proud of - nope, apparently not, we were the last ones to arrive, again....  We made our way to said table with all eyes on us as we squeezed past 'pushed out' chairs with our bags and coats in hand - damn it was hot in there!  I was just getting hotter - you know that feeling when you can feel your cheeks turning crimson and you just get hotter and hotter because you think that everyone is watching you (and a lot of them probably are....) and then that makes you more clumsy than usual and you accidentally bash your bag onto someones head, nearly trip over the child that has somehow managed to appear in front of you as you are turning round to apologise to the chap whose head you have just bashed, then you attempt to say sorry to the child who by now has run off crying to its Mum or Dad and you feel like the worst woman in the world and quite frankly, wish the ground would just swallow you up right there and then!  Anyway, once seated, I calmed down and cooled down ?.

The first numbers were being called 'legs eleven' and 'two little ducks' and there I was crossing out the correct numbers, doing quite well if I don't mind saying so myself ?.  I didn't win that game but a few games down the line, I did win ?.  This was a mixed feeling of 'yes, I am a winner' and 'complete dread' as I had to announce in front of everyone that I had all the numbers "Bingo!" I called, to which the bingo caller stated over his speaker, "It's House, you call House".  The crimson cheeks were back "House then" I squeaked...  He was quite a comical Bingo caller so I didn't really mind but my cheeks were certainly not agreeing with my statement of me not minding?.  I won a packet of share size Cadbury's buttons and a box of Celebrations.  Being a HUGE chocolate fan, I was rather pleased with my winnings ?

We went with a couple of friends so that made the whole experience more fun and meant that the girls had friends to chat to too.  A great night.
